Faith In Nature receives B Corp status

Faith In Nature has announced that it has achieved B Corp status in recognition of its ethical and environmental practices.

Faith in Nature provides ethical personal care products, including hair and skincare, formulated from natural ingredients.

In order to receive the certification, the brand was required to undergo rigorous assessments of its business practices across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The company submitted a Business Impact Assessment which required the inclusion of hard evidence to support each question.

Laura Ford, Faith In Nature’s Sustainability Director, says: “Faith In Nature has strived to deliver on its mission to make better choices available to everyone, everyday, for nearly 50 years now. We’re thrilled that these efforts have been recognised with the highly respected B Corp status, helping us to ensure that we remain a force for good in society”.

The B Corp certification was introduced by charity B Lab as an assessment of a company’s commitment to sustainability in its business practices. B Lab aims to hold businesses accountable to making responsible decisions, allowing consumers to make better informed choices to reduce their impact on the planet.

The B Corp certification is now highly regarded; brands are increasingly keen to prove their commitments to sustainability, with a six-month waiting list to apply for the process.

Faith in Nature has previously escalated its sustainability mission by making the unprecedented decision to appoint ‘Nature’ on its board of directors, as well as introducing the role of Sustainability Director.

The brand introduced recycled bottles in 1999 and was one of the first beauty brands to offer refillable products. Since 2021, the brand has partnered with charity TreeSisters and helped to plant over 30,000 trees globally.
